Press Metal Achievements at The EDGE ESG Awards 2023

At the 2023 THE EDGE ESG Awards ceremony, PRESS METAL ALUMINIUM HOLDINGS BERHAD won two gold awards in the industrial products and services category and green transformation. This is an important recognition of the group's sustainable development.

THE EDGE ESG Awards is a platform dedicated to recognizing listed companies (PLCs) and asset managers that demonstrate leadership in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) field. A total of 63 awards were presented to 48 companies at this annual awards ceremony.

Winning an authoritative award in the ESG field reflects Qili Aluminum Group's commitment and persistence to ESG and sustainable development through a series of practical actions; at the same time, this also adds greater impetus to the group's sustainable development. It drives us to move unswervingly towards our ESG vision and allows us to see that every step we take is effective and recognized. We are working hard to carry out green transformation in our operations according to the sustainable development strategy we have formulated, and continue to reduce the environmental footprint left by our operations. Looking forward to the future, we will be more determined to advance on the ESG road, strive to lead by example in the industry, and drive more companies to jointly practice ESG concepts. We will continue to push boundaries and work towards a sustainable future.

A balance needs to be struck between operations and sustainability. In terms of corporate governance, business integrity is the basic principle of the company's operations, and we work with our partners to follow and make progress together. Commit to abide by laws and regulations, fulfill corporate obligations, operate in accordance with the law, and establish a long-term and stable foundation for development. In terms of environmental maintenance, we will strive to reduce the impact on the environment during the aluminum processing process. Since our opening, we have invested huge resources in environmental protection equipment, including wastewater, waste gas and dust treatment systems; reducing production energy consumption and carbon emissions is also conducive to environmental protection. The 11-megawatt solar power generation project put into use in 2013 , allowing green energy to be used in production and operations; at the social and humanistic level, we advocate and promote the corporate culture of "Beautiful Australia and the United States, and a Better Life" and develop together with the community. At the same time, we advocate the development of green supply chains and look forward to cooperating with other industries in the region and even the overall manufacturing industry to improve the environmental protection and social benefits of corporate operations.
